Domestic Violence
Violence can be physical or emotional, women in these abusive relationships or who have survived them can find they lose their confidence and constantly question their ability to make decisions. They may also find it difficult to manage their children’s behaviour particularly boys who have witnessed their Mother being hit. Men can also be subjected to violence in relationships and feel awkward admitting that they have been unable to stop their partner from hitting them. Psychotherapy/counselling can help people who are coming out of these relationship or are still feeling that their experiences are holding them back can benefit from talking to someone who is on judgemental and can help them move on from their experiences and build up their self esteem so they can cope with difficult times ahead.
