Nutritional Therapy

As we all know the government recommends that we all eat 5 portions a day of fruit and vegetables but some experts believe this target should be higher still (6-8 portions) and that most of these portions should be raw fruit and vegetables as cooking and processing destroys a lot of the valuable nutrients. This may sound like a daunting prospect to most people who live a busy and stressful life.

However, it can be easier than you think to get those all important ‘portions’ into your daily diet.

Of course eating more fruit and vegetables is only one aspect of having a healthy diet but is it a good start. Poor nutrition can contribute to many disorders including fatigue, pre menstrual tension, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, frequent colds and infections, feeling bloated and weight loss. Correcting the imbalances in your diet and ensuring that what you eat provides you with optimum levels of nutrients can increase your energy, boost your immune system, reduce your symptoms and help prevent against future illnesses.

Nutritional therapists are qualified to take an individual approach to eating, working with the client to address underlying problems by changing the diet and making suggestions that fit into your lifestyle easily. It’s not about counting calories but changing the way you eat for a healthier life.
