Bereavement Issues

Bereavement can last for up to two years. During this time a range of emotions may be felt, anger, disbelief, sadness, blame and guilt. These emotions usually begin to subside after the first year and become much more manageable after the second year. By this time people are usually able to move on in their lives, keeping fond memories of the one they have lost. Occasionally, a person can become stuck in the bereavement cycle and this is when it is useful to talk to a professional who can help you come to terms with what has happened and help and support you to move on.
